Holiday Inn Express San Antonio-Airport by IHG

Holiday Inn Express San Antonio Airport is a really good place to stay. Although there was some construction remodeling, it was better than anticipated. Parking is free during your stay at the hotel and there was plenty of spots in the garage and the hotel lot. Breakfast was robust and plenty of food options including eggs, sausage, gravy, fruit, yogurt, etc. Reception was outstanding and all employees were friendly / professional.

Stayed here two nights, 11.16 and 11.17.2025. Clean and Spacious rooms, hot showers, comfortable beds, and an outstanding selection of breakfast items. This hotel is conveniently located to numerous restaurants and San Antonio's North Star Mall. KUDOS to Sabrina and Victoria for the Spectacular customer service during my stay. Highly Recommend to anyone traveling through San Antonio, and I will definitely stay here again. BRAVO and THANK YOU!!

Great location for flying in. It is also easy to access the interstate to get downtown and to the Alamo/Riverwalk or wherever you want to go in the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel and rooms are very clean and secure. The breakfast was great with several options to choose from. We would definitely stay again.

From the time we checked in with Aylin and throughout our entire stay we experienced the utmost in hospitality from the entire staff here. Rooms are exceptionally clean, bed very comfortable and breakfast hit the spot. The hotel’s shuttle was a wonderful way to explore the mile radius around the hotel including restaurants, North Star Mall (5 stars) and of course the airport. I’ll never stay anyplace else in San Antonio again!

This was the best hotel experience I have had in years. The staff was great, the room and facility were great, breakfast was excellent, they had happy hour with free snacks and drinks in the evening. It was all as perfect as it could possibly have been, and all for a reasonable price. Well done!

The prices for rooms are very affordable. The hotel and rooms were very clean and well lit. The staff was kind and pleasant to deal with. Will gladly stop here again on my next trip to San Antonio.

I have stayed here countless times over the past year at least once per month. Every single staff member I have encountered has been amazing. I know many of their names and they know and remember mine. Breakfast here is incredible. There are many choices including a fun automated pancake maker. Although I am typically working, with no time to enjoy the outdoor pool, I see it and it is always sparkling blue water and very clean. During a few of my stays school teams (once a debate team and another time a swim team) were staying at the hotel. The staff very strategically placed their rooms so other guests weren’t disrupted. The kids were good kids but still large groups of teens. The check-in process is always easy especially if you are a member of the free rewards program. I don’t often write reviews but in this case a long, detailed, positive review is definitely well-earned. If you are looking for clean rooms (newly renovated), friendly staff, a convenient location, and great rates - highly recommend.

Within the span of one month, I had the opportunity to stay at three different Holiday Inn hotels, which gives me a good basis for comparison. On the positive side, the breakfast is very complete and definitely worth the price difference since it is already included. I would especially like to highlight the quality of the coffee and the kindness of the staff — even about five minutes before closing, they kindly let you know so you can take whatever you still need. The hotel also appears to have been recently renovated, as the furniture is in good condition and not worn out. The location is another strong point, being very close to the airport and also to North Star Mall. Additionally, the parking is a plus, as it is controlled with a gate and limited exclusively to guests. On the negative side, cleanliness was noticeably below the standard of the other two Holiday Inn hotels I stayed at. The first day the room was very clean, but during the rest of the stay, housekeeping only made the bed. Toiletries such as body lotion and shampoo were not refilled, and it was clear that the room was not swept or vacuumed. When I asked about the cleaning service, I was told that they were not sure whether daily cleaning was included. In addition, the bathroom extractor fan was not working, nor was the shower. Overall, I believe this hotel offers good value for money; however, these details are important to consider, especially when comparing it with other Holiday Inn properties.
